The definition of “Street Life” photography has been debated for years. Should it include people going about their every day business, should it not? To me, photography is interpretative, like many other forms of art. Of course if it’s called Street Life photography it should be outside but that’s the only hard and fast rule that I use.
When you are in the outside world you see items every day. Street signs, lamps, posts, cars and trucks. Items we pass everyday and don’t pay any attention to. When you stop and stare you can really see the beauty in these everyday objects. Like the speed sign that brings order to chaos, a lamp that brings us light or a truck to get us where we are going. These objects are just there, they serve a greater purpose.
